At around four o'clock in the morning, taking a break after the first major set at the Sound Factory, the old Sound Factory on West 27th Street, Frankie Knuckles used to play "You X Me" after a slow song like "Free" by Deniece Williams, before ramping things up again into the second set that would take us into mid-morning.
