Not sure who recorded "House Of The Rising Sun" first as, according to Discogs, it seems both HOT R. S. (or House of the Rising Sun) and Revelacion released albums in 1977. Does anyone know ? My guess is that the Cerrone produced and Don Ray arranged Revelacion recording of "House Of The Rising Sun" came first (no pun intended), and HOT R. S. took the song and shot it clear out into space. And if there was any doubt where things were headed on the return trajectory, there's the second song on the LP, the much loved "Slow Blow" to make things clear, and lastly, "Delta Queen" to cool things down a bit. Think I might like the HOT R. S. version just a hair, just a little, just a teensy bit better. The whole 'sex on synthesizers' thing and all.
