Wow, not at all what I was expecting. I mean, she's black ! Genius. I'd heard "Robots Are Un-American" long before I stumbled across the video and I kind of imagined Solage to be a moon-eyed blonde in glitter face paint, making strange robotic gestures at no one in particular and gaping at the sky; the video all soft-focus camerawork and post-production effects on the cheap. Guess I was only half right, right ? Originally released in 1982, "Robots Are Un-American" by Solage got a re-release on Italians Do it Better earlier this year. Just glad I didn't assume anything.
